Fawad Hakimi’s Reign of Terror: Rapist Slapped with 24-Year Sentence

Rapist Fawad Hakimi has been sentenced to 24 years in prison after being convicted of attacks on three women in Wolverhampton. The 29-year-old denied the charges, but DNA evidence linked him to the crimes which occurred between February and August of last year. The attacks included rape, attempted rape, three counts of sexual assault, fraud and burglary.

Hakimi was arrested shortly after attempting to rape a woman in her Wednesfield home. He will have to serve at least 16 years before he can apply for parole and will be on the sex offenders register for life. The victims were commended for their bravery in helping compile a compelling case against the offender. Detective Constable Harriet Griffin of the West Midlands Police Public Protection Unit praised the women’s courage and emphasised the important role they played in convicting a dangerous sexual attacker.
